Autoresponder: You're going to want to capture email addresses and build a list so you can follow up with them. There are many different ways to do that, but I use and I recommend Aweber for your autoresponder Aweber is the oldest and most respected autoresponder company and they have a great service. They offer an easy to use service that is also capable of very sophisticated marketing strategies and they have a great repuation for high deliverability rates for your email.
Blog: I recommend that you use WordPress for your blog. It is the gold standard of blog software, run by such blogs as CNN and the majority of online marketer's blogs, too. It is highly customizable, an excellent platform for getting traffic, and easy to expand with Plug In's that can dramatically increase the features of your blog. You can simply sign up for one at Wordpress.com but instead I recommend that you actually install the free WordPress software on your own hosting account. You can get it at Wordpress.org. It is quick and easy to install, especially if you have Cpanel for your hosting. There is a simple course (below) by my friend Frank that will show you everything you need to know to get it up and running properly.
WordPress course: I recommend this indepth Wordpress Course. You'll learn everything you need to know to set up a blog quickly and easily. If you combine this with the Thesis theme I recommend, you'll be in great shape.
Very Cool Wordpress Customization Theme that I use: Here's why I use it. I can customize my blog extremely easily (not so with regular wordpress themes). It's got POWERFUL SEO features built right in to the design and options. Go check out the videos and other information about Thesis Theme
Membership Site Plug In for Wordpress: This is THE membership site solution as far as I am concerned. It's easy, powerful, and just plugs into Wordpress in minutes. Support is great, and it's easy to use, even for beginners (unlike Amember and other solutions I no longer recommend). Check it out here
Webmaster: I highly recommend that you work with someone who can do the web stuff that you need to do. Trying to do it all yourself is a great big waste of time. Click here to email the webmaster I recommend
Shoppingcart: To sell things online, you'll need a shopping cart, and you will probably also want an affiliate program so other people can sell your products, too. One system can do all that and more, and it's called 1shoppingcart. Click here to check out 1Shoppingcart I however recommend that you use Aweber for your email autoresponder because it is more powerful and has better deliverability.
For accepting online orders, I recommend PayPal
If you want to look into iPowerpay for a merchant account. Email me at support at inspiredmarketing.com and I will make an introduction for you. They accept clients in large part based on recommendations from existing relationships they have. I've known one of the key contacts there for years and he's a great friend. I can't guarantee they'll accept your business but I can guarantee they'll take your application seriously and that they are a top notch choice for merchant accounts in a sea of not so great choices.
You can also set up a seller's account with ClickBank and have them process your orders for you. Find out more from them directly at Clickbank.com
For creating ScreenCam video products I recommend you check out Camtasia by Techsmith.com. They have a free 30 day trial of their software, too.
You can also get their great screen capture image software, called Snag it and capture images to use in your videos and products.
To create quality audio products (as well as record the audio for your screen cam videos), I recommend you check out the Samson CO1U or the CO3U at zzounds.com. Their prices are the best and they ship for free. Get their 'Podcast Package' so you get software and stands included.
To record audio, check out Audacity (free) or SoundForge by Sony. I use Sound Forge and it's great.
If you want to use a free conference call line with the ability to record your calls, check out TotallyFreeConferenceCalls.com
To submit articles and get article traffic, I recommend you check out:
ArticleMarketer.com
Submityourarticles.com
EzineArticles.com
Directoryofezines.com
There are free article submission services, but I haven't found them to be as effective.
To do online press releases, check out PRweb.com and my friend Marc Harty's course, PRTraffic.com. I've worked with Marc personally and he's the guy to go to for online PR training because he's got it down to a formula that works.
To survey your list, the best way is to use The Ask Database, and inexpensive service that I highly recommend.
If you have any questions or if I left out something email me at support at inspiredmarketing.com
